Dear Members and Friends,
With Rabbi and Cantor Oksana Chapman at our helm, beginning her 16th year with us, we welcome you to Temple Emmanuel, as we turn toward the New Year 5783. Erev Rosh Hashanah is Sunday, September 25th. Please join us at High Holiday services in our spacious breathtaking Sanctuary and newly restored Elaine and Larry Smith Social Hall. We will continue offering all of you the ability to “attend” our inspiring services in person, or virtually.
Many people this year have participated in improving Temple Emmanuel on so many levels. New committees have been formed to organize our activities and assist us in becoming a vital part of the Chelsea community. This year we have taken advantage of every opportunity to grow and participate in Tikkun Olam. Our attitude that nothing is ever “off the table”, makes Temple Emmanuel truly unique. Your fresh NEW ideas are always welcomed and are blended with history and heritage! The Temple has remained on the edge of fresh thinking, since its inception, at this location, back in 1939.
Studies, meetings, enhancements and plans have been ongoing for both the Temple Building and Courtyard, and our gratitude is extended to all who participated. Our future looks brighter than ever, and we welcome all of you to share your creative ideas!
The specific High Holiday schedule will follow shortly in the next mailing. We have rehired magnificent cellist Nathaniel Lathrop for the Kol Nidre service and are hoping you will join us.
Now is the time for Temple Friends to become Official Members. You may take advantage of our monthly payment options. Any financial assistance is always greatly appreciated, as we continue to keep our basic dues at a level everyone can afford.
