Chelsea Community Cares Day a Success!

Temple Emmanuel makes its courtyard available to the Chelsea Community Connections Coalition (CCCC), a neighborhood-based, resident-driven coalition. CCCC builds upon existing family and community strengths to facilitate supportive resource and service partnerships. The CCCC’s Community Clothes Closet and Family Nurturing program strives to stabilize and strengthen Chelsea families by eliminating the factors contributing to child abuse and neglect.
Below are photos of the May 1 Community Cares Day donate-and-drop-off morning and grab-and-go afternoon co-sponsored by CCCC and Temple Emmanuel in the Temple’s Cary Avenue and Gardner Street courtyard. Shown are volunteers who assisted throughout the day, working to get all those donations in, sorted, out on tables, AND then supporting the families who came to take whatever they wanted & needed. Also shown are some of the donated household items displayed on large round tables. And of people who took advantage of the grab-and-go.
